Recommendations for continuing computer stability, safety and security: .
Do all of the above and you will be
Firstly you need to purchase this CD - it has the best fully-tested freeware software available on one fully menu-driven CD that has been
professionally designed with you in mind. It addresses all the issues already raised, together with many extras, to assist you in ensuring and
maintaining a stable, safe and secure system.

You need to be aware that No software or combination of tools will offer 100% protection from viruses, malware,  spyware and adware but
this CD will go a long way towards it - offering a peace of mind that is specifically designed to address most of the problems you are likely to
encounter.

Computers tend to get cluttered over time. Some simple maintenance every week (depending on computer use  and programs installed) will
only take about 30 minutes, and can be performed by anyone at any knowledge level and will keep your computer running at optimum
efficiency. This is basic guidance that all computer users should follow. Before loading any new software on your Pc create a RESTORE point
as it might cause problems with your Pc.This applies to both commercial, freeware or shareware and can be achieved through your operating
system. This is an absolute must and might save you a lot of pain.

Remove programs you no longer need or use:
Over time, you may have installed games, utilities or other software that you forgot about or no longer use. Why waste the space? Go to your
control panel, Add\Remove programs and uninstall anything you no longer use - or use one of the CD software applications that has a useful
programmer uninstaller in it. Other software on the CD will remove all orphan entries for software not completely uninstalled. Check monthly.

Cleaning your hard drive of unneeded junk files:
One of the biggest problems is hard drive useage. Your hard drive has more moving parts then any other in your computer and is constantly
adding, deleting and reorganizing files. Because of this, you want to clean your computers hard drive. A great tool for clearing out all junk files
is on the CD. Should be done regularly - daily if you are on the internet a lot each day, or weekly if not.

Removal of invalid registry entries:
The registry can become very cluttered, and does get very large over a period, containing many invalid references and orphan entries. The registry
is not an area for even computer savvy users to be tinkering with, you need dedicated registry cleaners or optimisation software to do the job.
Some very useful ones are on the CD and do the job very effectively. This should be done every couple of weeks or at least monthly else it can
substantially slow up your computer.

Startup program cleaning:
Because the operating system startup program loads up drivers and some programs you may need, you need to be careful before removing
items. The problem exists that many programs load up at startup - many of which you do not use. These can use a lot of memory and
processing power when it could be better spent on the programs that you actually use. The CD contains a useful application that lists all
programs in the startup program. It offers the facility to backup before effecting any deletions. Very useful software. This should be used at
least monthly.

Defragmenting the harddrive:
Over a period of time your computer will become slower and slower when it tries to access the numerous files stored on your computer. This is
because it stores the files over the main ROM memory anywhere (split over the entire surface). When it accesses these files it starts looking
here there and everywhere, eventually in the worse scenario ‘Thrashing’ to a standstill. The solution is to defragment your hard drive. Your
operating system will have one but the one I use has been included on the CD (works in real time in the background) and should be done monthly.
